The first Ukrainian film based on the comic “Maxim Osa” looks so good

Ukrainian detective film based on Ivan Baranko’s comic book, will start in theaters from October 13, 2022.
“Maxim the Wasp and the Gold of Pesigolovets” is based on a comic book about the adventures of a charismatic Cossack detective.
For 9 years, the project has changed six producers, three directors; changed the lead actor, screenwriter, the concept of the picture was transformed.
The events of the film take place in 1636. The King of Poland paid tribute to the Cossacks to prevent an uprising. The last time a detachment was seen with gold on the border of the castle of Mr. Jozsef Pshelutsky. The gold itself was brought to the tavern of Nakhman, where Maxim Osa, cornet of the Korsun regiment, was waiting for him.
But instead of a detachment of five Cossacks, a half-dead envoy returned without gold. With him, Wasp searches for the missing brothers and finds their mutilated bodies near the old cemetery. So, to find out the truth, Wasp must find the king’s gold and solve the reason for the death of the Cossacks.
The film should be released in Ukrainian distribution on October 13, 2022. The film is directed by Miroslav Latik.
